New Travel Client: ezeego1


We just signed up ezeego1, a new travel bazaar focused on India set up by the well-established UK travel operator, Cox & Kings. This agreement has us a their exclusive digital marketing agency providing our full suite of services + strategic guidance. We expect great growth to occur for them in India and around the world.

Have you had a specific personal experience?

I've read some of the reviews and it looks like the ezeego1 folks have resolved issues. See one example. http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Ezeego1.com-133614-1.html

My company and I have ordered tickets several times through ezeego1 and everything has been completely smooth. Whenever we've seen issues with their site, their management has been very responsive.

In any case I will talk my account team to understand the issues.

Yeah I agree that ordering and tickets being booked are smooth. Recently I felt a need to contact them personally. Through a full page ad spread across various national newspapers they claimed about cash back offers for bookings made through a particular bank credit card. I did it and its almost a month now but no cash back received so far. Numerous mails to their various email ids have been rendered fruitless. Even after holding for full one hour, no one from their customer care centre responds. I simply cant imagine a call center number busy for one hour. Either too bad customer service so that they are flooded with calls or actually no one to answer the call but for the answering machine.

Well, Jasprit, it may be that the ezeego1 folks are besieged by an offer that went all too well. I would think that whatever credit you are entitled to that they would make good on it. They have released a number of emails from customers who have been attended to: http://static.ezeego1.co.in/ezeego_html/ezeego1/B2C/html/customerspeak/customerspeak_oct07.html.

I can't promise anything soon (I do have my own services business to run), but I'm interested in hearing from my team.

I can tell you that there are real people at the company that are interested in doing the right thing, so let's see.

This website is making fool of people.On one end they are giving lucrative offers with discounts on icici and sbi credit cards but rajiv have you tried the nos. given by them on there website they doesn't exist and recently my friend booked his ticket through an icici credit card by this website, his money got deducted but he never got the ticket........Now what do u say to this.....
This ezzego1 is total fraud site and you are making fool of the people

The ezeego1 website and call centre have to be the absolute WORST among all the online travel websites operating in India. I've tried 8 times in the past two days to get in touch with one of their executives and each time I've had to hang up after a wait of 60-90 mins WITHOUT getting to speak to any human voice at the other end. This has happened at all times of day and night including at 1:00 am today.

I had booked a ticket through this website more than 9 days back but I haven't yet received my cashback. Judging from other people's experiences with this company, I am not sure if I should even expect this cashback. I have been repeatedly sending them mails regarding this but there has been absolutely no response from their end. If this is what you call customer service, then I am better off dealing with the airlines directly.

To Vinny and Priyank, I've sent your comments to ezeego1. Again, these are real people. There may be misunderstanding, but there's definitely no fraud. If there was one, would they issue the ticket?

From reading their FAQ: http://static.ezeego1.co.in/ezeego_html/ezeego1/B2C/html/flight/hm_flights_9.html# it looks like they've been overwhelmed with the offer so that is why it is hard to reach them.

So chill, you'll get your money back if you've met the terms of the offer. I would contact them directly.

As an aside, there's a tradeoff analysis to be done here to be determined whether the promotion value was worth problems like this.

Well I wrote a mail to the personal id of Neelu Singh (COO of Ezeego1) and got my cash back with in two days of writing the mail.

I told her the disadvantageous position they might get in to if consumer dissatisfaction grows like this.

Ezeego1 exists and the phone number works. But one should have the patient to hold for much much longer time to reach anyone and more patient to receive the cash back. I'm also due for 50% of my cash back amount and I have been calling, holding and speaking to guys and I hope that within next few days i will get my cash back. Or look for some legal options which can fetch me more than what I'm supposed to :)

Thank you for helping out. The cashback finally got credited into my credit card account this morning. And wonder of wonders, the amount was exactly what was promised! Somehow, after the past few days, ezeego1 getting its act together on even such small things seems to be pretty surprising!!

In any case, referring to one of your past comments:

I can definitely say that this experience - even with the extra cashback as compared to that offered by travelguru.com - was definitely not worth it and I am going to avoid ezeego1 in the future.

Vijay, I'm sure it will happen for you as well.

I personally am not a big fan of price promotion as it diminishes from product value, but my business sells to other businesses. Consumer businesses are a different story. Demand elasticity is high in the travel markets.

It looks like our friends at Ezeego1 are getting the situation under control. I would urge you not to lose faith as they are committed to the long term success of the business. Other site may fail, but they will be there 20 years from now.

Hi Rajeev-I am in a similar position(waiting for my refund of close to Rs 8000) and you seem to the last respite after going through the blogs.
I have sent numerous reminders(email is the only channel non-mumbaikars can use since ezeego1 customer care never ever picks up a phone and I can't afford to have my mobile bill even crossing the refund I am expecting!)however there has been no response.

I think your best bet is to request a refund via email. I really didn't do anything special for the other folks. I'm sure they will get to it soon.

I have had a similar experience about Cash Back. The customer service is pathetic. No one calls back or give any accurate information. Emails sent go unanswered.

I booked a ticket on 1st November for 5th november from hyderabad to kolkata airdeccan flight DN631. The amount has been debited from my card, but finally I am faced with the message booking failed.I called the customer care and they promised to return the money within 7 working days but nothing happened..then i again called up customer care and they booked a new complaint and they told money will be returned in 10 days but nothing happend...now whn i am calling them them put my phone on hold saying that they are processing my complaint and to wait for a minute but they dont pick u the again..i have already wasted so much money calling them but everything has been in vain...ezeego1 is cheating people...5000 bugs will be a small amount for you but not for all of us here...i request you to get my cash refunded as fast as possible...If you can help me out I shall be grateful... b

I could'nt help but notice that there are many more customers who have had the displeasure of dealing with ezeego1. Their website keeps hanging and as a result I got incorrect tickets ie my return ticket came booked from the place of origin. Tried calling their call centre and invariably it is a 25 minute hold time before you can speak with a human who promptly tells you that I have forwarded the complaint to the concerned department and some one will get in touch with you shortly. I had booked my tickets on 23rd of October over 5 frustrating calls , series of emails later I still have not seen a resolution to the escalated complaint.Refund of my money.

I am trying to get hold of the email id of Neelu Singh with the the belief that companies are not formed with 'deception' as a key motto but it may be a system that is so overloaded that people do not know what to do. Hence I want to give them the benefit of the doubt.so If any one of you do have her id do mail me back on minivivek@gmail.com

I had been searching on internet to find avenues for escalating an issue related to ezeego1 when i cam across this blog. Lets c if you can help me in someway :)

I booked a ticked under ICICI credit card cashback scheme on Oct 27. I am still waiting for the cashback. I started contacting them from Nov 16. They told me that cashback would happen in 48 hrs. didnt happen. I also wrote emails. Finally a person replied on Nov 20 that cashback will happen in "7" working days. didn't happen. After that i have been following up after every 2 days. Everytime i am given assurance that it will happen in 2 days or 7 days.

I really do not know what to do now. I booked the ticket from ezeego1 only because after cashback it was better then other site.

Please suggest.

Ezeego1 is the biggest fraud on the indian internet scene. When you call their call centre they are not ready to share even the CEO's name....that is the face of the company.

Urgent Help required!!

Booked ticket through www.ezeego1.com, PNR was generated [ EZR-2007-481108/A] and sent, but one day before departure when i went to collect paper ticket, i get to know the ticket is cancelled and i should check with ezeego for the reason of cancellation and the refund.

Checked with their customer care - Got no reason for cancellation and an answer that fill the form for cancellation of ticket then you'll get the refund which is amount 25,000INR (as it was international flight). after21 days.
I cannot book another ticket now till i get the refund as it is not a smal amount. All my plans got cancelled cause of them. Please guide me.

I am very unhappy with the services of Ezeego1 and feel that they have different ways to gulp hard earned money of the customers.
I have booked my Father's Ticket on 15th of Dec for journey on 16th Dec.But during booking, ezeego1 system has booked the ticket with some random name "Vccv, Tfgmr".Then immediately I have contacted ezeego1 people and first they said that it is showing correct name(my Father's name) in their system and I need to go to Airlines people ,so that they will correct the name.
Then I have called Indian Airlines people and they said that its not their fault and it has to be corrected at ezeego side.
Again I have called ezeego and this time some guy named as "Wasim" took the call and he said that I have to cancel the ticket and have to pay Cancellation charges.
Then I have asked him that why the customer will book the Ticket with the above Junk name ,for which he had transferred the call to his supervisor Sandhya.
Then Sandhya checks her system again and finally told me that the only way is to Cancel this ticket directly from Indian Airlines ,so that only 500 -/-rupees will be deducted and then I have to take the fresh Ticket.
Same day I have cancelled that ticket which bears reference no EZR-2007-463210/A and booked again the fresh ticket.
As it was mentioned in their website that after cancellation the refund (after deduction of applicable charges)will be given within 7 working days,but till yet I haven't get it.
I am staying in Hyderabad and till today I have made 15 STD Calls each for 15-20 mins ,for which I just got only one call back.
I have spoken to Dimple,Firoz,Rithesh,Alam,Ganesh and their supervisor Mr.Anup Quadros ,who gave me commitment that this issue will be solved on priority basis and I"ll get the amount credited back in my Crdit card account by 27th Dec.

Can you please do something for me and get some suitable reply or give me their Service Managers Telephone nos or some senior personnel email id..so that I can escalate the slackness and neglegence of Ezeego staff in a channel way..
Please help..

I need to contact somebody in senior management at ezeego1 to get my refund as the ticket they booked for me was not valid and the airlines refused to allow me to travel on that wherein I had paid in full for that to ezeego1 some 2 months prior to that.I then had to purchase fresh tickets on the fly for me and my wife which were more than double the original price each! Its been over a month now and no one has bothered to respond to my queries. Folks, I'd recommend going to the ezeego1 site for posting issues. This is unlikely to be a place where there customer service folks will check very often.

Ezeego is he biggest fraud in town. I booked airline tickets for 2 adults and 1 children with ezeego1.com on 9th Nov 2007 for the following trip:
Bangalore to Jaipur : 20 Jan 2008
Jaipur to Bangalore: 27 Jan 2008
Ref no. EZR-2007-315774/A
I used my ICICI Gold card, but they have not yet given the 25% cash back. I have emailed them and called customer care several times, but no avail. The customer care representative finally ends up telling only that my transaction is under processing and will positively get the cash back in 72 hours. But, even after more than 2 months I am still waiting for their transaction to complete. They blatantly refuse to give me any number for any higher manager or responsible person. Previously I have booked tickets through yatra.com and it has been a nice experience. Ezeego1 are cheaters, they just allure you by mentioning nice schemes and then cheat you once you have booked through them. Its a shame on them.

Rajiv, It was both to let off steam and also a desperate attempt to get some redressal somewhere. Maybe Ezeego was well-intentioned all along and was just overwhelmed with the response BUT they owe it to their customers to first have a semblance of a customer service that listens and responds to customer, and second to tell them the truth without making false promises.

I only had a couple of thousand rupees at stake here but Ezeego has managed to tarnish its reputation to such an extent that will be very hard for them to recover it any time soon.

I Had made a booking with Ezeego1.com on 12th of November with reference Num: EZR-2007-326314/A from Hyderabad to Kolkata and Return ticket, at that particular time the print said that booking is failed but when I contacted the Ezeego1 customer care they said that you will get your PNR within 4 hours but after that no one contacted me back.



I tried a lot on the customer service desk, no one picked up the phone. Wrote a mail to complaints@ezeego1.com and enquiry@ezeego1.com but no one returned back with my PNR Number.



My next move was on 5th of December, when I contacted the customer care, they said your booking has been cancelled and you will get your refund within 20 days. I paid huge extra money that time for my new ticket with Indigo and AirDeccan. In between I got a refund of Rs 137 (Total ticket price was 4557.00).



On 27th of December when I contacted the customer care for my refund, they said you will get your refund within 72hours. I dint received any money after 1 week.



I tried again to them on the same customer care number and the person was Mr Shyam, he told me that your account has been credited with the amount and you can check there, and if it is not there please check with ICICBANK with the transfer reference number 000041272636, when I checked with ICICI they said there is no transaction with your account and this is not a standard process (transaction reference number) practiced by ICICI.



On the very same day I tried back to your customer care number, the guy called priyesh picked up the phone and after hanging me for half and hour he told me that your money will be processed in 1 week time.



But till date no money has been credited into my account.



Today on January 13th I again talked to Mr Vinay Singh, he said that you will get your money back in 1 week of time.

I got a ticket booked to Mumbai from Delhi on 14th Dec; payment was successfully made, PNR number was not generated; My office called up the call center folks, no body seemed to be interested in entertaining the call; on my intervention, I could speak to some team lead "John Bosco" who promised the entire money will be refunded back in 2-3 days; since then, i have writeen couple of mails to 'customerservice@ezeego1.com' from my office email id to refund the money, but nothing seems to be moving; i was trying to find out the name of the CEO of Ezeego1 to speak before I ask my lawer to file a case of fraud against Ezeego1; on searching I got your reference. I would appreciate, if you can give me name and number of the CEO (may be on my mail id, rather than disclosing here); I would like to speak to him/her and see if this can be resolved before i take a drastic action. Brief History:

I booked two tickets from Ezeego booking ref.no. is EZR-2007-536012/A for Indian Airlines flight
On 31st December 2007 , ticket numbers provided below for my friend and her wife as a gift:

For Kullu to Delhi on 11th Feb flight. Today i.e. 7th Feb my friend who is in Kullu called the Indian Airlines
people to confirm if the flights are fine from Kullu to Delhi comes to know that the tickets were cancelled
the moment they were booked i.e. on 31st Dec 2007 itself. Neither the airlines nor Ezzegoo informed us about
the same.Ezegoo says its airlines fault , airlines says it was agents fault.

Perfect Gift i gave them!!!!
Now my friend is stuck in Kullu with just 3 days left for his hotel booking. With the heavy snow over there
he does not have a hotel to stay. Ezeegoo says we cannot assure what we can do right now( Dhiraj Bhatia floor
supervisor whom i got hold off by being on phone for more than 2 hours), no one from managment to take a call.
They only say we are investigating the matter and will get back to me. I hope this game they are playing with customers
come to an end soon. Some agents even said that there company is just facilitator and the airline is responsible.

The Ezzegoo says that they are okay with refunding the money back. But what good is that money. In this season when there
are no hotel rooms available, will it get them a flight. NO and also why was Ezeegoo sitting on the money we paid them when the
flight was cancelled the same moment for almost 1.5 months. To worst matters no one is ready to take a call.EVerbody is ready to
escalate. No resolution to the matter.


Somebody has to arrange for the accomodation as well as the return trip for both the
passengers safe and sound back to Delhi. If they cannot do that then what good is such a
big organization for????

I guess the answer is creating big messes around.

CAN SOMEBODY RESOLVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish I had read this blog earlier (before booking ticket with ezeego1)

I have a problem similar to many others. Booked ticket through ezeego1. Payment was taken, but no ticket was generated.

It has been two months back but I am still waiting to get my Rs 9282 back.

In addition, I have been charged around Rs 2000 as interest by my bank for non payment of this Rs 9282.

This is with reference to a Cashback Amount of Rs. 2905/- which is due to me from ezeego1, since November 1, 2007, which has not yet been received till date.

The History of my case is as follows :-

1.) On November 1, 2007, I called up your Customer Service and booked 2 return tickets with them on the sectors Mumbai-Nagpur-Mumbai.

The names of the 2 Passengers are (Surname First) :-

The BOM-NGP Onward Sector was issued on Indian Airlines and the 2 PNR Nos. on Indian Airlines were as follows :-

There was some problem with your Computer System at the time of my booking due to which your Booking "EZR" No. did not get generated.

So when I called up 2 weeks later to check as to why my e-tickets had not been e-mailed to me, your representative by the name of Ms. Pramila could not locate my booking on your system. I then gave Ms. Pramila my booking details and she retreived my booking through the Individual Airline PNR'S, which I had provided to her.

I followed this case up with your Customer Service Executive Mr. Abhinav on 28-12-2007 and provided him with all the details. Mr. Abhinav promised me that he would look into the matter urgently and would somehow get it resolved within the next 2-3 days. I did not hear from him for the next 2 weeks.

Then on the early morning of Saturday 12th January 2008, at 1.00 a.m., I once again called up your Customer Service and this time was attended by your Executive Mr. Santosh, who also took down all my details once more.

It has now been 4 months and 18 days and I am completely fed-up of following this matter with so many different people from your organization.

This is extremely poor Customer Service on your part. You have made your customer wait for more than 2 months and still not given the Credit that was promised, from your side.

It was clearly the fault of your booking executive who did my initial booking. If the EZR Booking Reference No. was not generated at the time of making my booking, due to some Computer System Failure, he should have informed me there and then and made a fresh booking. He should not have told me that the booking was finalized and that I would receive my E-Tickets via email in the next 48 hours.

Now I have provided you with all my details, which include :-

1.) Both Passenger Names
2.) Both Airline PNR Nos. for both Passengers
3.) Payment Details
4.) Your ezeego1 Invoice No. and Details

Well, I was the first one to visit Rajiv's blog and inform him about his new travel client's dubious dealings.
Now I see its full of such complaints. Understandably from Rajiv's perspective, "its his blog and not complaint portal of ezeego1". Looking from a distressed consumer side, s/he wanna raise it to any forum so as to get the money returned that is being taken wrongly.
It is always beneficial to be aware. Two days back, I booked tickets directly from Kingfisher paying INR 25000. I did this even when I knew there was a huge cashback if I book using my ICICI Credit card through ezeego1. But "Once bitten, twice shy". Even stopped my colleagues and family not to go for ezeego1 as I have seen many people complaining about their poor customer response time. I am not questioning their genuinity here. Well, the onus of taking an informed decision lies with us and we should not blame anyone else.

Jassi, I'm pretty close to deleting your comment. "Dubious" would mean that ezeego1 would NOT have dropped posts saying that the issue from being resolved. It also would mean that the thousands of daily customers would not have received service.

I have also downloaded the ticket from Go-AIR site on the same date i.e. April 08, 2008. And it shown complete tkt with no due pending at my side. I also received the confirmation mail from Ezeego1.com.

But After one week i.e. April 15, 2008, i got a call from go-air and they demanded Rs 4000 more for the same tickets. When i refused to give the money, they threat me to cancel the tickets.

However, at the time of booking, it has been told, price includes all the taxes and charges.

I have already taken the matter with Go-Air executive and ezeego1.com, but i have not received any +ive response.

I request team to assist me to resolve the issues

Hi Rajiv, Writing to you and posting my complaint on your blog as a last resort in been hopefull in getting my problem solved as well..lets see if i get lucky or not .

Dont want to give out too many details but Booking Reference number EZR- 2008-197065 , amount 13375. The hotel has confirmed that the reservation has been cancelled and no money has been deducted ( In fact the bookings made by ezeego are done without paying money to the hotel). Ezeego claims the amount has been reatined by the hotel and hence no refund. This is pathetic. Can somebody at ezeego help ? its not 1000 Rs we talking about but 13375.

Hi, this is Ravi Agarwal and I have always booked my air tickets from Ezeego since they provided nice offers to customers.

Unfortunately, last time I had to cancel my tickets due to some reason and I have been waiting for the refund amount since April 24th and now even after 2 months have passed, no action has been taken by Ezeego. My reference no. is EZR-2008-269815/A and Query Reference Number is 46106. I also got a enquiry id: 872944 and a case id: 916228.

I have called up Ezeego customer care around 8-9 times talking to Subhash, Reshma, Rimple and several others. I have also spoken to one of the supervisor Steven, but I am extremely dissatisfied with their service now. Everytime they say that I will get back my money on 3 working days (72 hours), but I am yet to get it back.

I asked Ezeego people if they can provide me some senior management number, but they said they cannot. I logged a complaint on Ezeego site also through complaints@ezeego1.com, and enquiry@ezeego1.com but no reply yet.

Now I have lost all hope that I will get my money back. I guess this one of several ways how Ezeego earns money (eating up customers money).

I was going to file a consumer grievance case, but before doing that "Can anyone please help ?"
I don't know what to do.

I had made the booking on 22nd Dec 2008 and after deducting the money from my account the site shown the message saying the booking can not be made due to unavailability of the seats.

I have been chasing the customer care for getting back my amount and haven't recd and positive response from them.

They always keep the line on hold for more than 15-20 min and came back and says that the amount will get credited in 7 days.

I have made the booking through ezeego1.co.in for flight for Nov 17' 2009 to travel to Kolkata from Hyderabad by Kingfisher flight IT 3433 which depart from Hyderabad at 2035 hrs (ezeego reference number: EZR-2009-616988/A). After 01/02 hr of my booking I received a call from ezeego1.co.in people stating that flight is cancelled and I can call the airlines for complete refund of my amount.

When I called Kingfisher they agreed to refund the full amount as the flight is not operating on that day. But to my surprise ezeego1 people are deducting transaction fee of 397/- for no transaction. When I said this is not right, this is no mistake of customer that airline has cancelled their flight. To this they responded that its written on their website also that transaction fees will not be refunded (which I found is cheating).

When I told them that I will take this case to consumer court as in why they are penalising the customer for no fault of his they said that its their policy and they will not revert the trancaction fees.

Requesting you to take up this issue with officials and get me refund of 397/- also.

This is totally unethical...

Few months back there was a very lucrative offer at ezeego, 50% flat cash back on all bookings, including hotel. On 6th July, I booked a hotel for 10th September just to avail this offer. Otherwise it is not at all required to book a hotel so much in advance in India as you will usually get a room whenever you plan. I did this advance booking just to avail this offer. After 21 days of checking out from hotel, when I did not get my cash back, I contacted ezeego. There plain reply was that my booking does not fall under this cashback. I asked the reasons but no reason given. I am still trying hard with them, if nothing happen I will move to consumer court for sure. I have fought in consumer court two times before, it takes time and effort but what you can do when there is no option left.

I am Javed Shaikh, I had deposited 15620 INR to my agent deposit and first transaction was failed. I am waiting for refund since last 9 days and nothing happened since. Mumbai based travel manager stopped picking up my phone calls. If this is happening to travel agent dont know how regular customer would be facing problems. I have been writting emails and nothing is moving.
